Miami Art Week is seeking a creative and passionate Arts Content Writer. The Arts Content Writer will be responsible for researching, writing, and editing engaging content that highlights various facets of the arts as well as cultural events. This individual will work closely with our editorial team and contribute to online publications, newsletters, blogs, and social media platforms to drive engagement and enhance the Miami Art Week audience’s appreciation of the arts.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation:
Write, edit, and proofread high-quality content on a range of arts-related topics, such as artist profiles, exhibition reviews, event previews, industry trends, and critical analyses.
Develop creative and compelling stories that appeal to art enthusiasts, artists, and the general public.
Research and Analysis:
Conduct thorough research on assigned topics to ensure accuracy and depth.
Stay updated on current arts and culture trends, industry news, and relevant events.
Interview artists, curators, and other cultural influencers as needed to provide unique insights.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with the editorial and marketing teams to develop content strategies that align with brand goals and audience interests.
Work closely with graphic designers and social media managers to enhance written content with visual and multimedia elements.
SEO and Audience Engagement:
Utilize SEO best practices to enhance content visibility and reach.
Track audience engagement metrics and adjust writing strategies to optimize content performance.
Social Media and Marketing Support:
Assist in creating social media posts that promote content and engage followers on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
Develop ideas for content series, campaigns, or interactive content to engage a broader audience.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Art History, Communications, or a related field.
2+ years of professional writing experience, preferably in arts and culture.
Strong portfolio showcasing published articles or other arts-related content.
Excellent research, writing, and editing skills, with a deep understanding of various art forms.
Knowledge of SEO and content marketing strategies.
Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and social media platforms.
Passionate about the arts, culture, and storytelling.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in photography or videography is a plus.
Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
Multilingual abilities are a bonus.
