Michelle Gleiser nació en Lima, Perú, 1983.
Es Artista Visual Contemporánea y Licenciada en Administración de Empresas con mención en Recursos Humanos.
La investigación de Gleiser transita por temas introspectivos que recoge desde su niñez y a lo largo del tiempo. Considera a su practica artistica como un proceso liberador por medio del cual logra exteriorizar, tangibilizar y re-contextualizar sus inquietudes.
Ha participado en exposiciones individuales, colectivas y benéficas, así como en diversos proyectos y Ferias de Arte Contemporáneo como Affordable Art Fair NY, Miami Art Week, Pinta Parc, Art Lima, ArtMotiv, CasaCor, Artbox Projects Basel y NY.
Su trabajo se encuentra en varias colecciones privadas tanto en Lima – Perú como en New York, Los Ángeles y Miami – USA, Santiago – Chile y República Dominicana.
Actualmente vive en Lima y se encuentra trabajando en dos nuevos proyectos.

Michelle Gleiser was born in Lima, Peru, in 1983.
She is a Contemporary Visual Artist and has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with mention in Human Resources.
Gleiser’s research goes through introspective themes that collects from her childhood and over time. She considers her artistic practice as a liberating process through which she externalizes, make tangible and re-contextualize her personal concerns.
She has participated in individual, collective and charity exhibitions, as well as in various projects and Contemporary Art Fairs such as Affordable Art Fair NY, Miami Art Week, Pinta Parc, Art Lima, ArtMotiv, CasaCor, Artbox Projects Basel and NY.
Her work is in several private collections in Lima – Perú, as in New York, Los Ángeles y Miami – USA, Santiago – Chile y República Dominicana.
She currently lives in Lima and is working in two new projects.

Soy consciente de que cada uno de los elementos - y vacíos - que forman parte de mis composiciones son necesarios tal y como están. Si algo cambiara, sobrara o faltara, el resultado sería otro y ya no existiría esa misma obra de arte. Con esto en mente es que genero una analogía con el hecho de que cada uno de los sucesos de nuestras vidas, hayan sido planeados o no, conforman nuestra existencia y nos hacen quienes somos hoy. Es entonces que puedo concluir, teniendo en cuenta que el futuro es incierto y que el azar es un hecho, que nuestras vidas son la suma de nuestras experiencias, de nuestro conocimiento y aprendizaje, de cada evento, de las personas que conocemos, de nuestros pensamientos y de las decisiones que tomamos en cada momento.

Es propio del ser humano que queramos entender y encontrar un por qué a todo.

La mente humana y la vida misma son temas misteriosos. Los intentamos comprender, muchas veces sin lograrlo por completo y hasta podríamos tener más interrogantes que certezas. La realidad depende la percepción e interpretacion de cada individuo. Todo es relativo y la verdad no es absoluta.

Mi trabajo se desarrolla sobre estos ejes. Suelo indagar entre temas filosóficos de la mente y de la existencia por los que tengo interés a raiz de mis propias vivencias. Asi mismo, busco mostrar una aceptación de lo no entendemos ni podemos controlar como seres humanos.

Organizo mi trabajo por proyectos, cada uno con un concepto principal sobre el que quiero estudiar y reflexionar. Teniendo clara la idea busco la forma idónea de representarla, siempre mediante un proceso muy intuitivo y experimental. Voy jugando con diversos medios y materiales, con formas, colores, texturas, dibujos, reflejos y dimensiones. Finalmente logro sinergias que llegan a tener un sentido de armonía para mí. Dichas obras que nacen, orgánicas y asimétricas, resuelven de forma lúdica mis propias curiosidades e interrogantes, plasmándose principalmente, en esculturas de pared.

Para mí, cada pincelada es una expresión de libertad y una huella sin igual. Mi proceso artístico es como un juego interactivo de posibilidades infinitas. Mis obras de arte son el desenlace. Por eso, considero a cada una de ellas, como un pequeño fragmento del permanente experimento de mi vivencia artística.

I am aware that each of the elements - and empty spaces - that are part of my compositions are necessary as they are. If something changed, was left over or missing, the result would be different and that same work of art would no longer exist. With this in mind I generate an analogy for the fact that each of the events in our lives, whether planned or not, make up our existence and make us who we are today. It’s then that I can conclude, considering that the future is uncertain and that chance is a fact, that our lives are the sum of our experiences, of our knowledge and learning, of each event, of the people we meet, of our thoughts and decisions we make each time.

It is typical of human beings to want to understand and find a reason for everything.

Human mind and life itself are mysterious issues. We try to understand them, often without achieving it, and we could even have more questions than certainties. Reality depends on individual perception and interpretation. Everything is relative and truth is not absolute.

My work develops around these topics. I usually inquire between philosophical issues of the mind and existence in which I am interested as a result of my own experiences. I also intend to show an acceptance of what we do neither understand nor are able to control as human beings.

I organize my work by projects, each one with a main concept that I want to study and reflect on. Having the idea, I look for the best way to represent it, always through a very intuitive and experimental process. Then I keep placing and arranging the shapes, colors, textures, drawings, reflections, and dimensions intuitively. As a game, I build and achieve synergies that will finally have a sense of harmony for me. The works that are brought to life, both organic and asymmetric, solve my own curiosities and questions playfully and mainly manifest themselves in wall sculptures.

For me, every brushstroke is an expression of freedom and an unparalleled print. My artistic process is like an interactive game with infinite possibilities. My art works are the outcome. Therefore, I consider each of them as a small piece of the permanent experiment of my artistic experience.
