About this Series:

My search deepens between the walls of the laboratory where I investigate and play with the developing chemigrams that I mix with other materials until I obtain an abstract image, chemigram, that dialogues with my emotions and refers to what is found in the unconscious. Perhaps to a lived experience, perhaps to a repressed emotion, or simply to the need to find myself, in that deep silence where a magical world emerges.

In this coming and going between photography and painting (chemigram is closer to the plastic arts) a dialectic arises where the unconscious and the conscious converge on a plane where not only the photographic image matters but the relationship it establishes with who observes it.

My intention is to awaken in the observer, to reveal that unconscious parallelism that we create. The images found in our unconscious … the reality we see. That world that we see is not always the one that looks at us. My work is a trigger for emotions, dreams and fantasies.

I made prints of unique chemigrams, on chemically treated paper to create shapes. Each print is then digitized and then mixed with my photographs. These images visually respond to a parallel world where the conscious and the unconscious intersect in an installation of visual and sensory immersion. An unconscious search for harmony.
