Miami Art Week is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to assist with the upcoming events:
🔸Kickoff Party at the Coral Gables Museum on Monday Dec 2, 2024. The event location is 285 Aragon Ave, Coral Gables, FL 33134.
🔸Official Wynwood Pop-Up Show & photoMIAMI Fair on Saturday and Sunday Dec 7 & 8, 2024. The event location is 2300 N Miami Ave, Miami, FL 33127.

Volunteers will play a key role in ensuring the events run smoothly, from assisting with setup and breakdown to supporting artists, guiding attendees, and providing general event support. This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in the arts, event planning, or community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Setup & Breakdown:

    • Assist with setting up art displays, tables and other event logistics.

    • Assist with the breakdown and closeout after the events conclude.

  • Artist Support:

    • Provide assistance to artists with setting up their materials and preparing their exhibition spaces.

    • Ensure artists have the necessary support throughout the event.

  • Guest Services:

    • Greet attendees and provide general information.

    • Answer questions about the event, including directions to specific exhibits or areas.

  • Crowd Control & Safety:

    • Ensure smooth flow of foot traffic in and around the event space.

    • Monitor event areas for any potential safety hazards or concerns and report them to Miami Art Week staff, security or event operations.

  • Activity Assistance:

    • Support interactive workshops and panel discussions.

  • Other Duties as Assigned:

    • Flexibility to take on additional tasks as needed by Miami Art Week staff.


Qualifications:

  • Passion for the arts and cultural events.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to stand and move around for extended periods.

  • Positive attitude and willingness to help with various tasks.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with event staff and other volunteers.

  • Prior volunteer or event experience is a plus, but not required.
